Jakarta,- In order to secure national energy, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) in 2024 has targeted coal production of 41.3 million tons.
During January-March 2024, PTBA's total coal production reached 7.3 million tons, growing 7 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
Meanwhile, the realization of Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) aka coal supply for domestic needs was recorded at 5.9 million tons, growing 14 percent on an annual basis.
"The company optimizes various efforts in order to achieve the targets that have been set, especially to maintain national energy security," said Corporate Secretary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Niko Chandra.
In order to optimize the production target, PTBA carried out land clearing in the West Banko Production Operation Mining Business License (IUP) area in Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency.
This mining activity is in accordance with the company's operational plan in the Company's Work Plan and Budget (RKAP) and Work Plan and Cost Budget which has been approved by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR).
