Jakarta, - PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) recently disclosed information disclosure related to the plan to submit the company's financial statements (lapkeu) per semester I-2024.
Adaro's Corporate Secretary, Mahardika Putranto, said that Adaro's financial statements for the first semester of 2024 will be reviewed on a limited basis.
“Referring to Exchange Regulation No. I-E concerning Obligations to Submit Information, it is hereby conveyed that Adaro Energy Indonesia will submit its second quarter financial statements for the fiscal year 2024 which will be reviewed on a limited basis by a public accountant,” Mahardika said as quoted on Tuesday (16/7/2024).
For the first quarter of 2024, Adaro posted a net profit of US$ 374.34 million. Decreased compared to the same period in 2023 at US$ 458.04 million.
The decline in profit was triggered by a weakening in operating income from US$ 1.83 billion to US$ 1.44 billion.
“Amid global uncertainty and weakening price conditions, we maintain our commitment to cost efficiency. Furthermore, our overall balance sheet and financial position remain healthy, providing us with flexibility at this time,” said Adaro Energy President Director, Garibaldi Thohir or Boy Thohir, explaining the company's performance for the first quarter of 2024.
“Our operations started the year well, and the investments we are expanding into new businesses are progressing well within the guidelines we have set,” he continued.
Adaro Energy shares in the first trading session on July 16, 2024 tended to be stagnant. At around 10:15 WIB this stock was at Rp 2,870. Meanwhile, in the year to date (ytd) period ADRO still soared more than 14%.
