Coal Production in South Sumatra Falls Short of Target



Jakarta,- The South Sumatra Provincial Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Service reported that coal production in South Sumatra (Sumsel) from January-November 2024 only reached 92.89 million tons of the target set by the Ministry of ESDM of 135 million tons.


Although it cannot reach the target amount set, the total production of black gold until the end of this year is expected to reach 120 million tons or higher than the production realization in 2023 of 105.7 million tons.
