Jakarta,- The government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), has set the coal price reference for the February 2024 period. As stated in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia No. 29.K./MB.01/MEM.B./2024, there are four categories of the reference coal price.

First, for its calorie equivalence of 6,322 kcal/kg GAR, 12.26% total moisture, 0.66% sulfur, and 7.94% ash in February 2024, the reference is USD 124.95 per ton. This figure decreased compared to the reference price in January 2024, which was set at USD 125.85 per ton.

Second, for reference price I with an equivalent calorific value of 5,300 kcal/kg GAR, total moisture 21.32%, sulfur 0.75%, and ash 6.04% for the February 2024 period, it was set at USD 87.65 per ton. This figure has increased compared to the January 2024 price of USD 87.36 per ton.

Third, for reference price II with an equivalent calorific value of 4,100 kcal/kg GAR, total moisture of 35.73%, sulfur of 0.23%, and ash of 3.9% for February 2024 is USD 57.86 per ton. This figure decreased compared to the reference price in January 2024, which was at the level of USD 58.56 per ton.

Fourth, for reference price III with an equivalent calorific value of 3,400 kcal/kg GAR, 44.30% total moisture, 0.24% sulfur, and 3.88% ash for the February 2024 period, it was set at USD 37.54 per ton. This figure has increased compared to January 2024, which was at the level of USD 37.09 per ton.
