MAHA Secures the Exclusive Hauling Contract with KPC

Jakarta,- PT Mandiri Herindo Adiperkasa Tbk (MAHA), or Mandiri Services, has officially become the sole contractor for hauling coal at PT Bumi Resources Tbk’s (BUMI) mine, PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), located in Bengalon, East Kalimantan, starting January 1, 2024.

Mandiri Herindo Adiperkasa (MAHA) President Director Yenny Hamidah Koean said the company has two new contracts from two large mining companies. Previously, in April 2023, MAHA successfully obtained a coal transportation contract from PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) for eight years until April 2031, with an annual production target of 12 million tons of coal. Thus, the total value of this contract is estimated to be around more than IDR 2 trillion during the contract period.

In this latest contract, the company will transport KPC coal as the mine owner for the next seven years. “Mandiri Services will always strive to maintain operational stability through achieving coal transportation targets safely and securely. We ensure that this newly established partnership is always good and prolonged to benefit both parties,” he explained in a written statement on Monday (4/3/2024).

Yenny added that obtaining or extending coal transportation service contracts over a long period is one of MAHA’s efforts in building a sustainable business. “In addition, the long-term partnership is evidence of the trust of the mine owners and contractors on MAHA’s achievements, so far, as a reliable coal transportation service provider,” he said.
