Jakarta,- PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), the Upstream Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), revealed that domestic crude oil production ahead of the 2024 Ramadan and Idul Fitri (RAFI) homecoming season also surged to meet domestic fuel oil (BBM) needs.

PHE President Director Chalid Said Salim revealed that Pertamina's oil production from domestic fields in January to February 2024 averaged 399 thousand barrels per day (bpd).

However, in March 2024, oil production rose to 400 thousand bpd and in April 2024 it is also projected to increase again to reach 411 thousand barrels per day.

"From Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, we would like to convey that the average domestic Pertamina oil production from January - February is 399 thousand bph, for March this estimate is 400 thousand bph, in April 411 thousand bph," he explained in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VI of the House of Representatives, Jakarta, Thursday (28/3/2024).

"Oil production is 69% of national oil production, gas is 34% of national gas production. The results of this oil and gas from domestic upstream commercialization activities for oil we submit to the International Pertamina Refinery through the ship through 25 handover points in the country," he explained.

Chalid said, in welcoming RAFI, his party also paid attention to operational readiness and readiness of standby personnel, and logistics management to support oil and gas well drilling activities.

"For our operational readiness, of course, we first pay attention. Then second, non-emergency standby personnel, and fourth is the management of supporting logistics and drilling activities from oil and gas wells," he concluded.
